The question the climate deniers must ask themselves is: Am I prepared to take the risk that the overwhelming majority of climate scientist are wrong and that it should continue to be business as usual knowing full well that if the majority of climate scientists are right about anthropogenic global warming the consequences long term could could be environmentally, biologically, socially and economically catastrophic and potentially irreversible and in the worst case scenario push the globe over a tipping point into a runaway global greenhouse!
Mitigation of C02 emissions and other climate driver effects such as changes in land use and agriculture will have adverse social, political, environmental, lifestyle and economic effects over many decades but will ultimately result in lower carbon economies, better energy efficiency and new renewable energy sources and new jobs and new technologies. More importantly it will over time stabilize C02 levels and climate change.
Personally I know which option I will go for because I can't wait or afford to take the risk that the climate change deniers might be right when their are solutions now available.I don't want to go the grave without having done my bit to try and preserve this world for future generations as I have known it!
