News: Robby_H :Why can't you provide any evidence for your assertions? Why was the whole "Dr Candy's GB method" thread deleted from finders forum after this post was cross posted there? Who is running scared? Who really controls finders?

I'm sure you have found a solution to your problem.

To any other individuals with similar issues, you may use the cheap "AVR ISP MKII" clones found on eBay. You want to use programmers that are supported by Atmel's "AVR Studio" and stay away from programmers like usbASP that rely on proprietary software to program the atmegas. Although these programmers only cost a few dollars , they're not supported by Atmel.

Also, you can build your own programmer for a few cents. Research ponyprog online. That programmer is well documented. However, it uses proprietary software also and it is not supported by Atmel.
