I know its early days but so far what do you think of the forum? I could try to upload Vbulletin forum but my Web host is not really keen to provide support or help me do it!
Here is a link that compares Vbulletin to SMF.

If I decide to update my web hosting package  I will be able to  have 3 more mysql databases so I could then try to upload Vbulletin board to another part of my web site.Maybe just make the Vbulletin board forum a highly specialized one that would only be visible to registered members?

Well I am impressed, looks like you have done much work in getting this forum up and running from scratch.

Hi Doug,

Looks great, runs fast and so far 100% uptime!

Lets bury the old one, but it would be nice if we could salvage as much as possible from the old forum.

Cheers Mick

I intend trying to slowly put  most of my posts from the old forum onto this one.But this is going to take along time! Anyone else  who would like to do the same with any of their own posts please feel free to do so!

Geez this forum is on steroids !..its even quick on dial up.Should be good when its been up and running for a while. At some point you might like to sprinkle a few gold nuggets around to make it look the part.
Talk to Mechanic he`s on a good run,he will have a few spare nuggets. ;)

HI DOUG- looks like this will make a very ideal replacement for g/poz... i don't envy the workload you have in front of you though!

here's hoping this one will prove as popular and innovative as g/poz!

cheer's- dusty!!

Forum looks just great Doug, and very easy on the eye. and works well (ie fast) too. Love all those icons & colour options!! Well done. Lets hope we can leave the other one as a distant memory even though there is a lot of good technical stuff there.

Well done its a credit to you. Huego :)

Hi friends,

I am missing yellow stuff on my screen. The blue color is just fine but a bit cold.

Let's build up the forum.

New member here!  I live in Wickenburg, Arizona.  USA.  My name is Will.  Everyone calls me Wickenburg Will.  Been finding gold since 1960.  Most of my finds were found "sniping" for gold in old river channels.  I pry up old bedrock and get the gold out of the cracks.  I have a Minelab 2200, but do better sniping here.
