Picked up a 4 channel Rigol DS1054z 50 Mhz CRO ... very nice  and if you go to this site ..    and enter your serial then enter the keycode to your scope ... it magically .. cough ... turns into a 100 Mhz scope with all options  ... 24M memory, serial decode, fancy triggers etc etc (  scared  )    Note ENTER DSER not DSFR for option code selection.

Almost bought one of them a few months back when my scope died, but as I needed it in  hurry, thought I should make use of the schematic provided in the user manual and tracked down a faulty bridge rectifier, so the immediate need then flew out the window! But it is still on the cards, they do look like a well spec'd cheap scope, especially since you can "upgrade" them to 100mhz!

Can you show us some scope porn with it Moodz? :D

Cheers Mick

I done hack-uppgrade from 50 to 100MHz at my Rigol DS1052E.

Good to know that this is possible with newer models too.

If I chose again I would buy Siglent SDS1102X 100MHz due much better display and 100% better vertical sensitivity..

Hi moodz

Smooth traces.

Why you chose additional CH2 to display FFT?

Isn't better to use the same channel for both (traces and FFT) due to higher sampling rate (and better FFT display) at single channel?

The user manual is professionally printed but very thin ... I was just randomly pushing buttons

It is funny, that you can activate not hibernate function and bandwidth only, but wider memory depth too.

Nice piece of lab-technique. Hope it will work to you years more without troubles. Enjoy!
