News: Robby_H :Why can't you provide any evidence for your assertions? Why was the whole "Dr Candy's GB method" thread deleted from finders forum after this post was cross posted there? Who is running scared? Who really controls finders?

crazy pete
“--------weak solution say 40% of hydroflouric would be better “
Fancy posting this on a public forum!Hydroflouric acid is one of the most dangerous and insidious chemicals known to man! It should only be handled by experts and with the right facilities and appropriate antidote (calcium gluconate cream and a sterile solution of same for emergency IV) this is why a special *license is required to buy and use it! Then this idiot poster says that 40% HF is weak!!!! A special license is required to even use the much  weaker solutions used in the stainless steel industry . Crazy pete has really lived up to his name!
http://www.assda.asn.au/technical-info/technical-alerts/hf-acid-scheduling
*Products containing HF in concentrations greater than one percent (1%) now attract a National Drugs and Poisons Schedule 7 listing. In many states this has implications for licence and permit requirements. Further information on the background to rescheduling of HF from a Schedule 6 to a Schedule 7 poison,  can be found at the National Drugs and Poisons Schedules Committee website.

I got a bottle 1 ltr. from bunnings with 10% hydro. for like $9,
"just over the counter" then have a box of by carb soda to neutualize. I had no problems just pouring into a glass jar and shaking it around a few times, then washing off with water.
Have heard a few horrer stories with regards to useing hydro, but as I see it, prospecters will always "give it go" just to learn or "see for themselves" the same would be said about mercury for fine gold.
Would I use hydro. again, NO.

Your "HYDRO" is hydrochloric acid ...used for cleaning bricks etc. (MUCH less dangerous. Available in strengths up to 37% and useful for dissolving limestone & ironstone, in a glass with care.   It is NOT HydroFLUORIC acid. (This dissolves bricks, glass & quartz.)

You cannot buy HYDROFLUORIC acid (neat) easily now because of its danger.   It's a DECLARED POISON ......... one of the worst.

I agree with Doug, Crazy Pete is a mad dog (rants about 5000, racial intolerance & bias and now makes this stupid suggestion!)

DON'T  "give it a go" with this "HYDRO".     rolleye 1      There are NO SECOND CHANCES!
