Pretty sure that's Neville and co digging up the Old Lead at Dunolly.

It's on private land below the old lead reservoir. No idea about the size of their lease. The operation shows up clearly on Google Satellite.

Shame in a way, There goes some more of the best preserved (and richest) historical diggings anywhere.

I drove past it 2/3 months ago and wondered what was going on, a number of yellow machines, only couple hundred meters off the road. Looked like a fairly large concern by the number of vehicles there.

Right you are JR
That block was purchased around two years ago, it was original Flett Family land that had never changed hands, since around 1900.
From the Old Lead res, back in towards Dunolly the various lots went up for sale by tender, including German Gully.
Had a few tenders in myself but missed out. sad1
Ended up buying a couple of likely looking blocks later in the Wedderburn area.
