Turbidity Current Demonstration
Most of the Ordovician sedimentary rocks so common in Vic goldfields are turbidites.They were initially deposited in an oceanic environment by turbidity currents,compacted and then uplifted.This short video shows how very nicely what turbidity currents are and how they turbidites are formed.
