There seems to be very little conversation on this site in regards to detecting and here I am posting a couple of links on Gold Formation.

I read somewhere that there are certain bacteria that extract gold to make it less toxic, and hence the thin gold flakes.

Yes Davor, interesting stuff has been written on Bacteria and its connection with the formation of Gold nuggets and this recent one here

I have enough trouble trying to figure out where the original gold deposit on my goldfield may have existed and how and in what direction the Gold moved to deposit a nugget at the particular spot you find it with a metal detector which defies the theories that abound in my head.

Regards,
Gary
