Another satisfied QED user! QED user report for 9 days detecting! User loves it, found it easy to use, found gold with it and he prefers it to his 5000! Also a report on a QED used at the beach for coin shooting.QED users reporting in with their multi ounce gold finds with the QED! More QED users reporting in! QED users are reporting that they do not find "bias drift" an issue!
The QED pictured is backward compatible with the current QED and has been designed and made by a member here. The firmware and circuit are identical with the current version except for a change in the face plate and control box. Changing to this configuration will NOT void the warranty when performed by the control box designer as it has been endorsed, approved and authorized by the QED manufacturer. The 4th button will not work at this time as the  firmware update for that has not been created yet and when its available will be provided free of charge (other than postage costs)by BW. QED Detector ,latest updates board is only available to registered forum members.

Goldsearch Australia has been appointed the Australian Distributor for the QED. QED info on the Goldsearch website has been updated.
This is the only forum where you can talk directly with the designer/ manufacturer of the QED and  also some very experienced QED users.
Jrbeatty and Reg Wilson  and  Yellowfin  (or Doug here for that matter!)have NO vested  or pecuniary interests(or secret deals or cash for comment or any other undisclosed benefits )in the QED other than using it to find gold which it is doing very successfully!

"-----But like I've said before the gold has to be there for the GPZ to find it, maybe its because the Victorian gold is so solid in nature so has already been cleaned out by the myriad of detector operators who have come before?"

What a bugger that so many of Victoria's nuggets are so solid in nature!! Just another excuse from a ML dealer for the lack of any  reported decent finds in Vic!!

Another SAD 7000 user on 4umer blames the lack of success of the SAD 7000 in Vic on the fact that everybody is just using it over  previously flogged , shallow ground and that folk should get out and detect over deeper  or virgin ground. Well some SAD7000 users are doing just this and where do we see the results:none!! It hard to imagine a worse detector to use for prospecting deeper virgin ground than the SAD7000. To prospect  in virgin ground you need to be able to cover the max amount of ground in a day efficiently, with ease of use, with  minimal fatigue or arm or shoulder strain and  to be able to  quickly pinpoint and easily retrieve any targets. With the SAD7000 you only have one coil size, have to scan at 1/2 snails pace, every so often throw down the ferrite and do an octopus walk to Gb , take much longer to pinpoint and retrieve any targets which means your ground coverage will be small fraction  of what would be possible using another detector with a big mono. To cap all this off you may well be very fatigued and have a very sore shoulder or arm! The post by this SAD 7000 user is just another by someone to justify to themselves  and others  as to why they bought the SAD7000(and the guilt feelings they may well feel for doing so?)  and to explain why in Vic their SAD7000 has not  produced any decent gold and has  not lived up  to the hype of “opening up the goldfields again!” No wonder so many SAD7000 users  are so defensive or get  so aggro  when anyone  raises any questions about the  SAD7000!

How does one can know that ground is "shallow" without extra extra deep detector, which GPZ evidently is not?

Seems main point here is, that people forgot why GPZ7000 is so expensive detector.

Here is why:

Does this promo implies problems with "previously flogged ground"?

Or something all the way "in contrary"?

My guess is that this was written by a Marketing Spin & Propaganda expert.

Note the use of the word "ONE" in this phrase.

......far exceeding what ONE of the best hot VLF detectors........

What about the others..... hmmmmm?

Some of the depth claims for the SAD7000  posted elsewhere i think are just  utter rubbish and are the result of  just how difficult it is to pinpoint with the SAD7000 which means that many times people dig past the target which at some stage falls out the wall of their hole to the bottom of their hole.In some cases this may well mean that the depth they claim to have detected the nugget is up to 100% more than the actual depth!!!

2 1/2 oz at over 2 1/2 feet, yeah... right !
I defy anybody to post an air test video that would give his claim any credibility.

They could just as easily said it was detected at 5 feet!Who is going to be able to disprove it? But independent testing done here with the SAD 7000  would certainly throw some doubts on 2 1/2 foot the claim!

It could be found by coincidence at 2 1/2 feet after detecting and start to digging lead cannonball lying at 3 feet.
