News: Robby_H :Why can't you provide any evidence for your assertions? Why was the whole "Dr Candy's GB method" thread deleted from finders forum after this post was cross posted there? Who is running scared? Who really controls finders?

To keep this gold subject rolling.

Top: It shows me crossing the La Trobe River (Victoria) in the Nissan on an alluvial gold chasing trip.
With the recent rain this crossing would be too deep, fast and impossible in this vehicle.

Middle: Some Victorian alluvial gold. Note the gold veins in ironstone in some pieces.

Lower: ~6 grams of gold from a patch near Castlemaine, two largest being 4.2 and 1.1grams. Larger has some ironstone inclusions. Found at depths between 2- 8".

WM6, these were 3 separate, unrelated events. I enjoy all gold prospecting. It's not always successful as we know.

I chase "wet" (alluvial gold) from creeks and rivers when there is water about, as there is now. Getting to less accessible areas often involves creek and river crossings, mostly over bridges but sometimes over rough fords like this one.

Occasionally I also use a detector in drier areas and drier times (not like this spring & summer - it has been far too wet)

According to pictures it looks all very adventurous.
After retiring, I move to AU with one very deep detector.
Only do not know where to find deep diggers?

If we knew where the BIG. deep ones were we would be there looking with big coils and with Alluvium and his mates.

Maybe we wait for Aziz to come here, give him lots of Aussie beer, so he sleeps under a tree all day ::81:: we then find & dig a really BIG nugget but leave some small gold in the hole for him .... with note of thanks saying we had to go ..... we went to get more beer. Make sure he does no wake while we are finding good gold. He can fill hole in for us for finding while he waits  for giving him easy "beer" gold   give me beer    thanks
