Evening all,

A post was started re: a new 'QED' coil over on PA forum - link here -

Called a Broadscan coil. Released on the Facebook page too?  I'm not a facebook fan - can we get some info on here please?

Not sure what info is available but things like manufacturer, sizes, availability, is it QED specific or useable across the GP/GPX range, is it mono/concentric/DD, targeted at small or large gold, targeted at hot/mild ground.  Just a few bits and bobs would be great.

Thanks and Merry Christmas to all.

Cheers, NE.

Hi everyone,

To put this “new coil” matter to bed, this coil is not in production. Only a few coils of this capsule shape are in existence and have been run on the QED. Many things need to happen before the capsule shaped coil moves from workshop (Where it is at the moment) to commercialised production.

Will it be economical to produce, will it be any better than existing coil options, etc. if the answer to these quest is “no”, then development ceases.

So a lot of water needs to flow under the bridge in the right direction before this capsule shaped coil can move from workshop to commercial production.

Cheers Goldman
