The pic is to show the hard plastic tube sheath protecting the ribbon cable. No failures of the naked cable have been reported so this is a safety measure.

A member here has sent me a new type of coil that weighs a lot less than standard coils. I am waiting for better weather to get out and try it. An interesting side benefit of Dave Emery's front end that is used under license in the QED is that coil damping is not a critical issue. With the damping changed to suit this new type coil then standard coils also work. This also means that if a coil is out of spec then it won't bother the QED.

A group on FB have shown interest in the QED. The group founder has just purchased one off Peter Pink to test it out and get back to the group on how it went. I hope some one is going to show him how to set it up properly as it could lead to a few sales in group buys. The group is Gold Hunters Victoria if you want to check them out. Hope Howard can help him out with setting it up.

All the more reason why Bugwhiskers should make sure that buyer knows how to use it properly. More for his own sake to get the QED out there as a machine to buy.

Thanks for the welcome. Been lurking for a while just not saying anything. The instructional vids are alot easier to understand than the written instructions that come with the QED, For dummies like me anyway.hahaha.

It's black and "capsule" shaped with a 3 to 1 width/length ratio.

Members,
If personal attacks continue then those that continue to indulge in this behavior will take a holiday from the forum. Lets stick to the theme of this thread which is about the QED.
thank you,
