Another satisfied QED user!
QED user report for 9 days detecting! User loves it, found it easy to use, found gold with it and he prefers it to his 5000! Also a report on a QED used at the beach for coin shooting.QED users reporting in with their multi ounce gold finds with the QED!
QED is here! ML have NOT stopped the QED!
The QED pictured is backward compatible with the current QED and has been designed and made by a member here. The firmware and circuit are identical with the current version except for a change in the face plate and control box. Changing to this configuration will NOT void the warranty when performed by the control box designer as it has been endorsed, approved and authorized by the QED manufacturer. The 4th button will not work at this time as the  firmware update for that has not been created yet and when its available will be provided free of charge (other than postage costs)by BW.

Goldsearch Australia has been appointed the Australian Distributor for the QED. QED info on the Goldsearch website has been updated.
This is the only forum where you can talk directly with the designer/ manufacturer of the QED and  also some very experienced QED users.
Jrbeatty and Reg Wilson  and  Yellowfin  (or Doug here for that matter!)have NO vested  or pecuniary interests(or secret deals or cash for comment or any other undisclosed benefits )in the QED other than using it to find gold which it is doing very successfully!

News fills the media about posssibility of access to some closed parks to prospectors. Heard it on the ABC this afetrnoon and the usual silly comments from the uninformed. The follow-up  contact with interviews informing correcting misperceptions through the media (to the public) is now ESSENTIAL Rita.

This was just received from Rita Bentley (Pres. PMAV)  the PMAV.

"After 20+ years of determined work and dedication by a number of PMAV committees, we finally have confirmation of a review on the prohibition on prospecting in parks.

I have attached the government media release for you to celebrate. I have also attached my media statement.

The Resources Minister and the Environment Minister came out to the Creswick State Forest with the PMAV today to see first-hand what prospecting involves. My sincere gratitude to the Ballarat branch and Wallace Young for the organisation of this event. Also thank you to committee members Tony Mills, Andrew Bales and Don Brereton for their excellent demonstration of prospecting.

Also thanks to Cordell Kent at the Mining Exchange Gold Shop for opening his shop especially today so that the Ministers could see the results of prospecting and providing the venue for the announcement.
Quite honestly, the day couldn't have been better."

Well done Rita and PMAV. ..... But the battle is not over ...... there is a lot of opposition. Prospecting is seen by some as the first step to Mining & destruction of the forests. Corrective publicity & education via teh PMAV, without emotion is now required,
