I have found the solution to the CC/DD problem.
A small number of early boards had the TX & RX shorted together. The resistors changed as part of the upgrade solve the problem of DD/CC incompatibility but the very small number of boards with the shorted TX/RX need to have a track cut.

Comparison testing an 18" mono and the 18" CC showed a test target increase from 3ft to 3ft 6".
It also works a lot better with small targets.

Does that mean only a small number of older QED's have a problem with DD/CC coils? I tried a DD on my upgraded QED and it appeared to work perfectly fine so I assume I don't need to have the tracks seperated?

Must of been a tricky one to work out if it was only on some QED's.
