Interfacion Pty Ltd is pleased to announce that the QED PI Detector has been modified to allow the use of DD (double D) coils. This change involves a simple change to the electronics within the control box.
The firmware has also been upgraded to include a further improved Ground Balance.
All detectors being delivered to new customers from Monday 5th August 2019 will already have the above upgrades included.
As a show of commitment to all QED owners, the hardware modification to allow use of the DD and CC coils will be provided at no cost.
Of course and as per the QED warranty, the firmware update is provided free of charge, except for P&H.
Any QED owner who plans to attend the Laanecoorie Bash is encouraged to bring their detector along and have it upgraded at no cost.
Standard postage and handling arrangements apply to other owners. Send via Australia Post the box (minus batteries) along with a pre-paid, pre-addressed bag/box to:

have just purchased a used coiltek mini 3 inch coil, for deep pinpointing, or gold stuck in deep cracks, will be giving it a run over the weekend, write up to come.

I have one of those also D777 and have only used it once or twice so look forward to your report.

No I hadn't D777 so just now finished connecting it up to the QED inside the house and was able to lower THS-B two positions below Null, THS-A up at 75 , GAIN left at 1 and in MODE I using a 0.08g nugget the probe produced a nice loud clear signal response out at 25mm from the side/edge and end/tip of the probe.

Also I was able to produce that response on the nugget at 25mm for approx. three quarters of the way along the side/edge of probe from its tip/end.

thanks heaps for doing that test gazz without even asking your a detector legend buddy, gives me a good baseline to start from cheers mate

been trying this out on alot of sulphide samples i have here it works great on the realy heavily sulphide samples fresh rock and crushed saples, can pick up stuff with this that i cant weigh at all, were talking better than gold monster stuff i have one here and the 45khz only works on about 1/5 of the samples here, now to send next batch in for assay, still waiting for last lot, big hold up at moment exploration all over, plus now drilling 5ks from my spot so watching those results very closely. mite do a vid if i find time next few days, headin out fri sat sun mon. CANT WAIT

Good luck I have never really worried about reef stuff but am in the middle of building an impact mill as I have a batch of stuff to crush and I have given up with the dolly pot .
