The new QED PL4 is taking shape and below is some details of the handles and shaft that will be unique to the PL4.
The release date for the PL4 has not as yet been determined, but is not that far away.

The shaft is a 3 piece telescoping carbon fibre tube that telescopes down to 600mm long.

The 2 shafts in the foreground collapse down to 600mm long x 130 mm wide x 135mm high.
The handle/screen box furthest away is fixed, i.e. does not fold down.

Also below are some close up photos of the PL4 cuff assembly.
Notice that the cuff comes in two configurations and are available for both the fixed and folding handles:
1) one for the standard battery pack with four batteries, and
2) a longer cuff assembly for the duel battery pack (8 batteries all up).

The batteries will be a commercially manufactured battery pack, comprising qty 4 18650 3500mAh lithium batteries. For the longer cuff, you get qty two battery packs.

You will need to consider your battery options at time of order, so that the dealer can provide the appropriate cuff assembly up front.
You will of course be able to order the 8 battery cuff later, but this will incur an additional cost.

I have also included a photo of the shaft/handle twist lock.

The handle is a three piece carbon fibre config with infinite length adjustment for each segment due to the great design feature of having no locking nipples like in the past, which effectively limited your adjustment.

Cheers Goldman

For scale, the floor tiles are 300mm*300mm (1 foot)
