The QED is wired to run DD coils ie. separate TX and RX but the performance isn't that great.
DD's are heavier and can be more expensive and no performance increase as offered by the newer spiral wound coils.

Is anyone running a big (say 18" plus) spiral wound coil mono on the QED?

a little mate, gb is a bit lower but can run near full gain on them plus say mono same size mode 8 can run this in 6 or 7. way more nicer to use than noisy monos sometimes
