G'day Stinky Pete and welcome to the forum.

I like this latest video of your gold find amongst the rubbish that was there with the QED.
You said that it was a dipping signal compared to the rubbish there which had a rising pitch,  does this happen with all gold?
Keep up those videos mate and well done.

You said that it was a dipping signal compared to the rubbish there which had a rising pitch,  does this happen with all gold?
Keep up those videos mate and well done.


Generally a larger target hurried will give you a dipping signal as opposed to small targets or surface targets

Not that this was a large target but it must have been sitting flat which gave it a bigger surface area

So in the above scenario  would it be of any benefit to run the QED with a bias favoring dipping signals?

For this particular target a Bias set higher than Null point should have given a better response.
So maybe a Threshold B of 53-54 would have brightened the target up

But not knowing what was in the area and varying ground depth I decided to go with the Bias @ 50 for general detecting
