GMT or MXT?
Which of these two Whites models  will handle nasty  mineralized  ground the best ie which one would you chose for Oz goldfield soils? The GM with its 48Khz frequency would be more sensitive to small gold and I  assume more sensitive to hot rocks and mineralized ground compared to the 14Khz MXT?
 Any thoughts?

Doug,
I can not answer for the GMT but I have had the MXT for some time and with the DD Coil and hyper SAT It handles hot ground better than any VLF Garrett machines Including the Ground Hog. In My opinion,
Its abbility to see small specimens Is a good feature. Im thinking the frequency Is why will the QED be able to be programmed at these frequencies?

Hello Doug ,
Having a Whites 50Khz machine I would lean towards the MXT for the simple reason you will be digging less ghost signals.
I've used a mates Tesoro Vaquero its 14.3khz , has a prospecting mode ,  easy manual GB , also has great discrimination for trash areas , light weight ' about 2.2 pounds.
And it signals good on  nuggets  happy face
Tesoro have a life time warranty !  Not like some others .

Cheers Bobby.
