News: Robby_H :Why can't you provide any evidence for your assertions? Why was the whole "Dr Candy's GB method" thread deleted from finders forum after this post was cross posted there? Who is running scared? Who really controls finders?

If one  chose a VLF detector  for nugget shooting  which VL detector would you choose and why. eg Whites GM or MXT or Xterra or ML Eureka gold  or a Tesoro Lobo  or Fisher Goldbug maybe.

Those by which I can measure or determine conductivity of targets in soil and which offer auto-tracking GB.

With the Whites VLF detectors which would be preferred for nugget shooting the MXT pro or the Goldmaster? The MXT pro works at a much lower frequency 14Khz compared to the GM at 48Khz which means that the GM will be more sensitive to small gold, more effected by mineralization? and will not give quiet as much depth on bigger gold as the MXT pro. But then if one buys the MXT pro purely for gold you pay for 2 other modes which will probably never be used. Maybe Whites should think of coming out with a GM pro that could be run at 2 frequencies say 14Khz or 40Khz?

The GMT at 48khz will still respond pretty well to larger deeper nuggets, and will detect much smaller gold then the MXT at depth. It also has a % iron meter that can be used as a form of discrimination.
Three coils available.

So from this I gather you would go with the Goldmaster? How does the GM go with the biggest coil? (8"X14")

I have not tried the big coil, so can't say. I owned a gold bug ll for a short time, but didn't like it as
much as the gmt. I would like to try the bug ll again and give it a better chance. at 71 khz it's killer sensitive.
In the video you posted on the gold bug, I don't think the guy doing the test know's the detector very well.  If it was set up properly he would detect that small piece at 2 inches with ease. I know my gmt would.

Why not something waterproof?

http://www.losttreasure.com/node/3620

"The CZ-21 is a VLF-detector that shares its "Fourier Domain Signal Analysis System" circuitry with other Quicksilvers - past & present. This circuit transmits signals at two different frequencies simultaneously (5kHz and 15kHz), resulting in a high level of performance that provides accurate target identification and improved detection depth in even the most highly mineralized or salt-laden ground."
