I like the middle left one the best, also love the iridescence of the green, that must get the fish's attention!  excited
How long does it take to make one, as these really are good enough to sell commercially IMHO.  Bravo respect

Many, many years ago i did tie some flies commercially. The flies you have circled use a synthetic sparkle material which imitates the air bubbles used by midge pupa to rise to the surface when hatching into adult midges. The sparkle tail imitates the shuck which they emerge from. Some get stuck in the shuck and can't hatch and these are easy prey for trout! The red flies with bead heads are imitations of the lava stage(bloodworms). The time taken to tie the flies varies from a few minutes to perhaps 10 mins. But after tying some of the flies bodies are painted with several coats of clear nail polish to enhance their durability and  look more like the shiny body of the midge pupa.

Hi Doug,

Do you dip your flies into a concocton before casting , I read somewhere where you can make up some good brews to use, besides that you can help them float or sink as well

I don't add any brews to the flies except on occasions some spray to  assist dry flies to float.
