Hi Gold Hunter,

When you make a post, just below the post window, you will see a link ">Additional Options"

Browse to your photo, select it then "post".
There are restrictions on image size, so you might have to resize them to within limits. The limit is 6meg ::16 ::
Attached is an image of an old shaft I have been in and found just a few bits ::416::

Cheers Mick

Yes, I love gold photo's, almost as good as looking at myself in the mirror  ::10 ::
What makes you think there more gold inside that piece? ::98:: As it looks to me like there is nothing else besides that one bit, what am I missing?
Wouldn't a pitted, dirty piece be more likely to have more gold, whereas this piece seems to be very little mineralization, or is it different in Victoria? I really don't know much about "what to look for" when it comes to, if there be more gold in a specimen. So I'm ready to be corrected/ to learn more about this. ::419::

Hi gold hunter,

Nice gemstones.  ::99:: ::99::  Worthwhile chasing them as much as gold. How do YOU identify them?

Chasing gemstones requires different skills methods tools (sieves etc), which I assume you use. Usually if you pan or sluice gold you will loose most of the gemstones (as most are slightly heavier than sand / quartz but lighter than the black sand.)   Do you pan the finest material ie that goes through the finest sieve for the gold?

Do you chase gold & gemstones at the same time or, one but not the other?

Look forward to seeing pics of any other finds you have.

Huego

got more picks but the pic sizes are to big for the forum. if i cut them down to size youll only see a small part of the pic. i hunt for the gold and the gems and have allready found a small saddle reef the size of your hand and it hosts gold inside  ::10 :: ::16 :: ::62:: ::19:: ::19:: ::05::
